September 14th to September 20th

The Lockdown Gallery will continue till the end of this month, so we can see all your autumnal treasures – the last one will be published on 28th September.

Weather: A dry week, starting off with a couple of very warm days giving a late taste of summer

Preston Harrison leads off this week with a theme of Hydrangeas

Maggie Youdan’s Crab Apple is seriously confused – or very talented

Sue Gray also has a seasonally bewildered bloom – this time an Epimedium

Liz Hall offers a handsome Hesperantha this week

Pat Hunter has visited two famous southern gardens. The first, Exbury, which overlooks the Solent, is famed for its spring displays of Rhododendrons, but still has plenty to offer at this time of year

The second garden is in Romsey, not too far away from Exbury – The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens

Terry Benton has been getting added decoration in his garden with a little help from the spiders
