Members’s Corner
June
Carine Carson has sent me two photos of an allium which a friend gave to her, and which is now growing well in her garden.
Denise Dyson’s garden is in full bloom:
Maggie Sugden asked me to post these two images of a shrub called Indigothera which she persuaded someone to buy at last month’s plant auction, so they know what they have bought!
Maggie has also contributed four photos of Peonies, the plant of the month .
The first is of the lovely P. Buckeye Bell, the second is of the beautiful P. lactiflora ‘Festiva Maxima’ AGM.
The last two photos are of a peony with no name. Can anyone identify it please?

Pat Inman, our secretary, recently visited Penn Wood in Buckinghamshire and saw this beautiful grass. Can anyone identify it please? (To comment click on image and the comment box becomes visible).
She also saw another grass on the woodland drive at Harlow Carr. She think it is a species of carex but not as fine as the one at Penn Wood. Again can anyone identify it please?
One of our committee members, Carine Carson visited Newby Hall on 29 May, and kindly sent me some images. I have updated the post on Mark Jackson’s talk in February, to include 3 of these images. To read the post click here.
Another of our committee members, Maggie Sugden, emailed me a photo of Abutilon (Vitifolium) x Suntense which is in full flower in her garden at the moment.
Contributions to the members corner are most welcome. Please email the webmaster (details on contact page).
