What we do

The West Yorkshire Group was formed in 1982 and has over 100 members coming from all over Yorkshire!  We are all mad about garden plants and keen to learn and collect more!

We meet on the second Friday of the month, from September through to May (details below), and have a series of garden visits between June and August.  An annual day trip and a 5 day holiday are also offered each year.

We have produced two island displays at Chelsea Flower Show, one in 2010 gaining a Silver Medal, and again in 2013 – this time winning a Silver-Gilt Medal.

Membership costs £10 from Jan – Dec 2022. However if you are already a Paxton member it is just £3 for the year. You can find the membership form here

If you would like to join us, just come along to our next meeting at Paxton Hall (directions below), or contact our Membership Secretary, Kate Van Heel – vanheelk@me.com or call 07980 850877

All our members must also be members of the Hardy Plant Society, an international society formed in 1957 and a registered charity (no. 208080). To join the national society, click here

Guests are welcome to attend our evening meetings at Paxton (£3 per person).
